In 1995, The Animal Clinic of Millville was purchased by Dr. Kevin Ludwig from Dr. Robert Goldsboro.  It was a small 1200 square foot facility attached to his home.  During the first year, two employees were hired, Sharon Ebinger and Janet Wendorf.  Janet is still employed as the human resource director.

The Animal Clinic of Millville has been blessed with steady growth and support from the Cumberland County community for the addition of numerous services for our clients and pet friends.  In 2003, the practice moved across the street to its new location, 2430 W. Main St., an approximately 7,000 square foot state of the art facility.

Dr. Ryan Gorman is now a junior partner and director of medicine and surgery.  Three additional veterinarians are on staff.  Dr. Ludwig splits his time between clinical and managerial duties.  The practice employs 26 people, which include veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists.  All form a successful team that provides a positive atmosphere for the dogs and cats needing veterinary care. In 2015 The Animal Clinic of Millville expanded.  A 1500 square foot surgical wing was added.  Dr. Gorman can now offer a variety of orthopedic services. The emergency and hospitalized cases receive superior care in this modern facility. Improved diagnostics such as ultrasound, digital radiography and in-house laboratory services are available.

Both practices are very active in the South Jersey community by sponsoring a soccer team, partnering with Big Brothers / Big Sisters, and judging and sponsoring many events throughout Cumberland County. A compact van was just purchased, which offers mobile veterinary services.

Dr. Kevin Ludwig stated, “We are very appreciative of this award from the Millville Chamber of Commerce.  The relationship that we have with the city has always been positive and we plan to be an asset to our community long into the future."
