Charles “Chuck” Brett, Executive Director of Help & Hope Ministries, an outreach of the Greater Millville Ministerial Association, was the November 2015 recipient of the Millville Chamber of Commerce’s Outstanding Citizen Award.
‘‘Chuck has a big heart and cares about people,” said John Nurnberger, President of the Board of Help & Hope Ministries and minister of the First Presbyterian Church. “I’ve seen that caring in the different work he’s done such as advising students at Rowan, and I see his caring happen in two ways at Help & Hope. He cares about the volunteers and does things to recognize their efforts, and he cares about the people in the community who are in need of food.”
“I have a great desire to help people that goes back to my days in guidance work. I feel there is a need to give back to the community," Brett said. “Help & Hope is a very needed service,” Brett said. “We see people every day who are in dire straits.”
